Stogie Night Three Year Anniversary – January 2010 Stanza die Sigari
Three years. Stogie Night has been an official outing for cigar enthusiasts in Boston for three years now. Once again, the members braved the cold to make their way to our old haunt on Hanover Street, down the steep steps, and into one of the last “Valhallas” of public cigar smoking in Massachusetts. Our waitress from November 2008 (see pics) was there to provide a bevy of fine cocktails; including a gin martini with French Absinthe instead of the typical Vermouth! She also served up some fine Astrals, Cohiba’s, and even a Robert E. Lee. Check us out in this Photo section or pop in for our next Stogie Night (tentatively scheduled for 2/28/10) and see what “Fine Living” is all about.
Stogie Night – November 2009 Stanza dei Sigari
A year ago, we thought this was the end of the “Cigar Bar” in Boston. But, luck, greed, and common sense prevailing, the Stogie Night Boston guys met again for a great night out. Drink choices varied man to man, but the evening’s big cigar choice was the Ashton. All agreed that it was a smooth, even, well-tempered cigar that conveniently matched the ashtrays and matchboxes provided by our hosts.
Stogie Night – July 2009 @ Jak Jericho’s Casa De Cactus
Kicking off the Stogie Night: “On The Road Series”, the members gravitated toward the South Shore for a warm evening of Fine Living. The late afternoon started off with appetizers and a few pale ales. As evening set in, a veritable Scotch Whisky tasting began, with a sampling of nearly twenty rare, aged, single malts and blends. After dinner was served, the best of the best scotches were poured and paired with a fantastic selection of cigars from Larranaga Cuban Grade, Punch Rare Corojo, Padron, Cohiba Siglo, and H. Upmann 1844. The night was an Olympiad for the senses, capped off with frozen mud pie and a sip of Johnnie Walker Gold Label, our classic dessert whisky.
Stogie Night – April 2009 Stanza dei Sigari
This was last of the cooler weather trips to Boston’s famed North End Cigar Venue. Astrals, Cuban Cohiba Siglo’s, and the almighty Opus X were in the mix of quality choices. We even dabbled in the realm of sweet flavor-dipped selections. Check out the Scotch’s, Stout, and yes, the Espresso Martini’s that were paired to fine Stogies of the night!
Stogie Night – February 2009 Stanza dei Sigari
February 2009 saw the Stogie Night Boston regulars back at the Stanzi de Sigari in the famed North End. It was a typical chilly winter night, but the evening warmed up quickly when our hosts offered up the VIP Humidor Smoking Room for our crew to enjoy. We partook in the finest scotches, ryes, and bourbons, and paired them with a quality selection of great cigars.

Cigars and Scotch abound for this light weight stogie night.
At least we remembered the camera.

On Sunday January 7th 2007 we kicked it off.
A Cigar is born.
On a recent trip to the Mexican jungle one of our members photographed some Mayans who showed the art of a hand rolled cigar.
